The first and most important diagnostic step for a male partner is a detailed semen analysis, evaluating sperm count, motility (movement), and morphology (shape).

Lifestyle Adjustments to Boost Sperm Health

Fortunately, sperm regenerates every 74 days, meaning healthy lifestyle changes can show real results in a few months:

• Keep it Cool: Avoid hot tubs, tight clothing, and keeping laptops on your lap, as excessive heat hurts sperm production.
• Antioxidant Rich Foods: Eat foods high in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, and Selenium (like berries, nuts, and green vegetables).
• Avoid Toxins: Quit smoking, limit alcohol, and avoid anabolic supplements.

Advanced Surgical Sperm Retrieval (TESA/PESA)

In cases of severe male factor infertility or blockages (azoospermia, where no sperm is present in the ejaculate), we perform advanced, outpatient surgical sperm retrieval techniques:

• PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration): Using a fine needle to collect sperm from the epididymis under local anesthesia.
• TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration): Collecting sperm directly from testicular tissue. These retrieved sperm are then used in an ICSI cycle to fertilize the eggs.
