The Invisible Environment of Embryo Cultivation
When eggs and sperm are retrieved, they leave the protective environment of the human body and enter the clinical lab. Embryos are highly sensitive to their surroundings. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), microscopic dust particles, and air contaminants can cause cellular stress, leading to poor embryo development or cycle failure. This is why the air quality in an IVF lab is critical.
What is a Class-100 Cleanroom IVF Lab?
A Class-100 (ISO 5) cleanroom is an environment where the concentration of airborne particles is strictly regulated. It means there are fewer than 100 particles of size 0.5 microns or larger per cubic foot of air. In contrast, standard outdoor air contains millions of such particles. We maintain this standard in our Lajpat Nagar facility using advanced HEPA filtration systems and positive air pressure.
How it Directly Boosts Your IVF Success Rates
By protecting embryos from cellular toxins and chemical contaminants, a Class-100 environment supports healthy blastocyst culture (growing embryos to Day 5). This clean environment ensures embryos undergo normal cell division without stress, leading to higher implantation rates and healthy pregnancies.
